Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver various electrical and lighting equipment, including MCCBs, field isolators, LED tube lights, and multi-function timers, to Johannesburg Water. The aim is to procure quality products that meet specified technical standards, support operational efficiency, and promote supplier diversity, particularly encouraging SMMEs that are at least 51% black-owned.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement of the following items:

• 5 units of MCCB 400A, 3 pole, conforming to EN/IEC 60947-2
• 5 units of Field Isolator 315A, IEC 60947-3 compliant
• 200 units of Tube LED Lights (18W, 4-foot)
• 200 units of Tube LED Lights (24W, 5-foot)
• 20 units of Multi-function Timers with specified operating modes

The delivery is to be made in accordance with the technical specifications and within the validity period of 60 days from the award date.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the items include:

• MCCB 400A: 3 pole, breaking capacity of 50kA at 380/415V, protection types including long time, short time, instantaneous, conforming to EN/IEC 60947-2, dimensions approximately 255mm x 140mm x 110mm.
• Field Isolator 315A: Double-break silver alloy contacts, IEC 60947-3 compliance, insulation voltage of 690V AC, 6 poles.
• Tube LED Lights: 18W 4-foot and 24W 5-foot variants, suitable for industrial lighting applications, with quality standards ensuring durability and energy efficiency.
• Multi-function Timer: 8-pin, operating voltage 100-240VAC, timing range 0.05 seconds to 300 hours, with multiple operating modes including ON-delay, flicker start/stop, signal delay, interval, and one-shot.

All products must conform to relevant IEC standards and be supplied with appropriate brand labels and documentation.

Skills Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in supplying electrical and lighting equipment to municipal or similar entities.
• Knowledge of technical standards and compliance requirements for electrical components and LED lighting.
• Ability to provide technical support, after-sales service, and documentation such as product datasheets and certificates.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and handle bulk orders efficiently.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including BBBEE requirements and supply chain management practices.

Additionally, bidders should be familiar with Johannesburg Water’s procurement policies and demonstrate capacity to deliver quality products within the specified timeframe, ensuring adherence to all technical and safety standards.
