The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to support and maintain a Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) solution for the ETDP SETA. The solution aims to enable effective ICT service continuity by performing regular cloud backups, testing recovery procedures, and ensuring rapid data and system restoration in case of disasters. Additionally, the solution must provide resilience and response measures to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure.
The scope encompasses the implementation of a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) model on a public cloud platform, covering all organizational sites, including the head office in Johannesburg and nine provincial offices. The solution must support a diverse set of servers and virtual machines with specified storage sizes, ensuring backup, replication, failover, and recovery capabilities. It includes:
