Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider through a fixed and firm turnkey priced contract for the construction of the Msukaligwa Community Health Centre in the Gert Sibande District Municipality, Mpumalanga Province. The project aims to complete the construction of a new Community Health Centre, including all associated civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical works, to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Construction (completion) of a new Community Health Centre in Msukaligwa, Mpumalanga.
• All related civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical works necessary for the full completion of the facility.
• Rectification of existing site works, including addressing defects in on-site works such as stormwater and sewer systems, electrical installations, and internal works.
• Provision of site infrastructure, including temporary works, security, and logistics arrangements.
• Engagement with municipal authorities for permits, approvals, and final connections for water, sewer, and electricity.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to the specifications outlined in the Works Information and Site Information documents.
• Completion of all civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical works as per approved plans and standards.
• Rectification of identified defects from previous construction phases, especially in stormwater, sewer, and electrical systems.
• Compliance with relevant standards such as SABS, SANS, and other South African National Standards.
• Implementation of site safety, security, and environmental management measures.
• Preparation and submission of activity schedules linked to the project programme.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in constructing healthcare facilities or similar large-scale civil and building projects.
• Capability to manage complex site logistics, including temporary works, security, and community engagement.
• Competence in handling defects rectification and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to coordinate with municipal authorities for permits, approvals, and final service connections.
• Knowledge of South African construction standards and regulations.
• Qualified personnel in civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Experience in managing projects within the stipulated timeframe and budget, with a focus on health infrastructure projects.
