Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to assist the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) in the production of its corporate publications over a period of three (3) years. The service provider will support NERSA in creating and managing various publications to promote awareness, inform stakeholders, and enhance the organization's image and communication strategies.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Production of corporate publications, including layout, design, printing, and quality control.
• Management of the entire publication process, from briefing and content review to final delivery.
• Preparation of specific publications such as annual reports, newsletters, strategic plans, municipal tariffs, brochures, booklets, diaries, envelopes, social media graphics, and videos.
• Provision of electronic copies for web publication and open files of laid-out materials.
• Delivery of final products to NERSA's premises in Pretoria.
• Consultation with NERSA throughout the production process.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate the ability to:

• Read and interpret the Terms of Reference and produce publications accordingly.
• Provide a minimum of five (5) relevant references for similar work in corporate or government sectors within the past five years.
• Offer a comprehensive project plan, including timelines and quality control measures.
• Ensure all deliverables meet industry standards and are of high quality.
• Apply unlimited corrections/amendments as required by NERSA.
• Provide electronic copies suitable for web publication and open files of layouts.
• Deliver printed publications in accordance with specifications and quantities.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Proven experience in designing, layout, and printing of corporate publications, reports, brochures, and related materials.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple publication types simultaneously.
• Technical expertise in graphic design, desktop publishing, and printing processes.
• Ability to provide high-quality photographic and illustrative material, including scanning and editing.
• Capacity to produce digital content, including social media graphics and videos.
• Knowledge of compliance standards, including quality control and industry best practices.
• Experience working with government or corporate clients, with references to substantiate.
• Demonstrated commitment to black economic empowerment and team diversity.
