Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Output-based pricing model with no monthly device rental; payment based on digital click charges
• Devices capable of black-and-white and colour printing, duplex printing, and tray-mapping
• Managed printing software with capabilities such as scheduled printing, application-specific printing, and security features
• Provision of devices suitable for A3 and A4 sizes with specified print speeds (e.g., 50-70 ppm)
• Support for integration with existing office systems and security protocols
• Pre-installation due diligence based on SAQA’s current space and setup

Skills and Experience Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate:

• Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) accreditation or reseller certification for proposed machines
• At least five (5) years of active operational experience in installation and support of office automation devices
• Relevant experience in server configurations, maintenance, and support of output-based solutions
• Provision of reference letters for similar projects, preferably in the public sector, with at least two relevant references
• Experienced account management team with a minimum of five (5) years in office automation solutions
• Technical personnel with proven expertise in device configuration, maintenance, and support

Additional Requirements

• Bid compliance with mandatory evaluation criteria, including proof of OEM accreditation and company experience
• Functionality scoring based on references, experience, and technical capabilities, with a threshold of 80/100 points
• Pricing evaluation based on an 80/20 preference system, with a total maximum score of 100 points
• Preference points for B-BBEE status, specifically for black-owned and black women-owned enterprises
• Adherence to confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and contractual obligations as specified in the tender documents
