Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the services, maintenance, consumables, and spares for the glassware washer machine at Eskom Petroleum Sciences (PS) laboratories for a period of five (05) years on an 'as and when' required basis. The goal is to ensure continuous, reliable operation of laboratory glassware washing equipment through effective service and supply of consumables and spare parts, adhering to Eskom's quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of service, maintenance, consumables, and spares for the glassware washer machine at Eskom Petroleum Sciences laboratories.
• Delivery of services to three designated laboratories: Seshego Rotek Eskom Oil Lab, Rosherville Eskom Oil Lab, and ERIC Eskom Research & Innovation Centre Oil Lab.
• Development and implementation of a comprehensive maintenance and quality management plan, including adherence to safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.
• Provision of technical support, including servicing of specific equipment models (e.g., MIELE PG 8583, G7883C, PG 8536), with guarantees on shelf life and compliance with COA requirements.
• Compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards, including management of hazardous substances, preservation, and inspection procedures.
• Coordination of regular meetings, reporting, and documentation as per contractual and quality management requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical criteria for the tender include:

• Provision of services with a turnaround time of 48 hours (15%), 72 hours (5%), or as specified, with proof on company letterhead.
• Supply of consumables (e.g., Neodisher Z, FLA) with a guaranteed shelf life of at least 3 years from PO date, supported by COA.
• Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years in servicing and maintaining laboratory glassware washers, with at least 2 years’ experience in similar service provision.
• Guarantee that consumables will have a minimum shelf life of 3 years and will be supplied with a COA.
• Ability to deliver services to all three designated laboratories.
• Knowledge and understanding of servicing specific equipment models (e.g., MIELE PG 8583, G7883C).
• Compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality standards, including risk assessments, safety plans, and environmental management.
• Provision of technical documentation, inspection, and test plans, including risk management and quality control procedures.

Skills and Competency Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven track record of at least 3 years in servicing laboratory glassware washers, with references from previous clients.
• Technical expertise in servicing specific models (e.g., MIELE PG 8583, G7883C) and related consumables.
• Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations, including SHEQ standards and risk management.
• Ability to develop and implement comprehensive maintenance, preservation, and quality management plans.
• Qualified personnel with relevant certifications and experience in equipment servicing, inspection, and quality assurance.
• Capacity to deliver services across multiple laboratories within specified turnaround times.
• Understanding of procurement, logistics, and documentation requirements, including compliance with Eskom’s quality and safety standards.
