BID DESCRIPTION THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF PRE-FABRICATED CHANGE ROOMS, OFFICES, SHOWERS AND ABLUTION UNITS FOR VARIOUS ERWAT WATER CARE WORKS

SPECIAL CONDITIONS (SPECIFICATIONS AS APPROVED BY THE BID SPECIFICATION COMMITTEE IN TERMS OF PARAGRAPH 27 OF THE ERWAT SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT POLICY. This bid may be awarded to more than one bidder).

Bids will be evaluated in terms of mandatory requirements, functionality criteria and the provisions of the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2017.

ERWAT reserves the right to accept any bid or part thereof and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid and not to consider any bid not suitably endorsed or comprehensively completed.

Bid proposals must be submitted in the original document and all the necessary information as requested must be included in the bid document attached as an annexed file. Bidders are required to submit all necessary compulsory documents with their Bid document. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification of the bid.

Any Bidding document received after the closing time 12h00 will not be accepted.

Bidders are also advised to wear the correct PPE when attending briefing sessions at the water care works.

COMPULSORY SITE MEETING A Briefing session will be held on Thursday, 6th August 2020 at 10h00, at ERWAT Hartebeestfontein Water Care Works, Bapsfontein Road, Kempton Park GPS: 26°01′11.58” S, 28°17′04.80” E

During the COVID 19 lockdown period, and due to to the social distancing provision, ERWAT can and will allow only a number of Fifty (50) people to attend. You may confirm your attendance by email at [email protected]. Should the number exceed the Fifty (50) attendees, a follow up Briefing Session will be held at 12h00.

Please note that it is, currently under level 3, not a requirement to present their company CIPC certificate confirming their essential service status and work permit. However in the event that the Disaster Management Act and its Regulations change during the running of the tender, ERWAT reserves the right to request such provisos for compliance.

Any Bidder attending the Briefing Session/site visit, will be required to wear the full PPE incl. the COVID PPE (Masks & Gloves). Hand Sanitizer will be made available. All bidding entities must comply with the regulations made under the Disaster Management Act, 2002, published in the Gazette on 18th March 2020.

Bids must be in a SEALED ENVELOPE, CLEARLY STATING THE BID NUMBER AND DESCRIPTION on the cover. Electronic and faxed bids are not acceptable.
