Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver tapchangers and associated parts to Eskom Rotek Industries over a period of four (4) years on an as-and-when-required basis. The aim is to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain for critical electrical components, supporting Eskom's operational needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, supply, and delivery of tapchangers and related parts to Eskom Rotek Industries. The contract duration is four years, with deliveries made as required. The scope also includes compliance with Eskom's safety, health, and environmental standards, as well as adherence to relevant statutory requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of tapchangers and spare parts as specified by Eskom.
• Compliance with Eskom's SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) standards and specifications.
• Adherence to statutory legislation including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Mine Health and Safety Act (where applicable), Compensation for Occupational Diseases and Illnesses Act, and the National Environmental Management Act.
• Management and supervision of contractors and suppliers to ensure SHE compliance during contract execution.
• Monitoring, auditing, and assessment of SHE compliance for all tiers of contractors and suppliers.
• Provision of documentation, testimonials, and references related to previous similar work upon request.

Skills Requirements

• Understanding of Eskom's SHE policies, standards, and procedures.
• Knowledge of statutory health and safety legislation relevant to electrical and industrial equipment supply.
• Ability to manage and oversee contractors and suppliers, including conducting audits and assessments.
• Competence in compliance management and reporting.
• Effective communication skills for documentation and stakeholder engagement.
