Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver heavy-duty industrial-grade floor tiles for the Langlaagte Boardroom, Toilet, and Kitchen areas. The tiles must be durable, suitable for high foot traffic and load-bearing conditions, and compliant with relevant standards to ensure longevity and safety in municipal buildings.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of vitrified or porcelain floor tiles.
• Tiles must have a minimum thickness of 10mm and dimensions of 600mm x 600mm.
• Finish must be anti-slip (R10 or higher slip resistance rating).
• Color should be neutral (grey or beige) for ease of maintenance.
• All materials must be accompanied by technical datasheets and warranties.
• Site briefing to assess conditions and clarify scope, mandatory for all bidders.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the tiles are as follows:

• Heavy-duty industrial-grade suitable for high foot traffic and load bearing.
• Vitrified or porcelain material.
• Minimum thickness of 10mm.
• Size of 600mm x 600mm.
• High breaking strength.
• Anti-slip finish with R10 or higher slip resistance rating.
• Color in neutral shades such as grey or beige.
• Compliance with SABS or ISO standards for durability and water absorption.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Provision of technical datasheets and warranties for the supplied materials.
• Ability to supply materials that meet the specified technical standards and standards compliance (SABS or ISO).
• Experience in supplying industrial-grade tiles suitable for municipal or similar high-traffic environments.
• Submission of all required documentation, including valid tax clearance, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, municipal rates clearance, and proof of business registration.
• Attendance at the compulsory site briefing session.
