Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply, install, and service specified hygiene services at Onderstepoort Biological Products (OBP) in Pretoria, Gauteng, for a period of 12 months on a rental basis. The aim is to ensure the provision of high-quality hygiene facilities and services that meet the specified standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply, installation, and servicing of hygiene equipment and services as detailed in the specifications.
• Provision of equipment such as automatic hand wash dispensers, paper towel dispensers, hand sanitizer dispensers, sanitary bins, toilet seat sanitizers, air fresheners, urinary splash mats, and other related hygiene products.
• All services must be performed on a monthly basis, with equipment maintained to high standards, including wall-mounted, stainless steel, or chrome finishes.
• Equipment must be high quality, wall-mounted, and serviced regularly as specified.
• Attendance at a compulsory site briefing prior to commencement of work.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify the standards and specifications for the hygiene services and equipment, including:

• Automatic Hand Wash Dispensers
• Automatic Paper Towel Dispensers (Wall Mounted)
• Automatic Hand Sanitizer Dispensers (No touch, single dose)
• Sanitary Bins (including liners and weekly servicing)
• Automatic Toilet Seat Sanitizer Dispensers
• Toilet and Urinal Sanitizer Dispensers (measured dose with each flush)
• Automatic Air Freshener Dispensers (timed fragrance dispensing)
• Urinary Splash Mats/Guards
• Once-off equipment such as pads and brushes

All equipment must be of high quality, stainless steel or chrome finish, wall-mounted, and capable of functioning efficiently with minimal electricity consumption. Equipment must be serviced weekly, and all installations must adhere to safety and hygiene standards.

Skills and Requirements

The skills and requirements for bidders include:

• Registration of the company on OBP’s E-Procurement portal.
• Provision of relevant documentation such as waste licenses, Gauteng Waste Information System registration, and SBD4 declaration.
• Attending a compulsory site briefing at OBP offices before work commencement.
• Demonstrated experience in providing similar hygiene services within the past 24 months, supported by reference letters.
• Compliance with environmental and safety regulations, including waste management permits.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and deliver services on a scheduled monthly basis.
• Submission of a comprehensive safety file prior to starting work.
• Understanding of procurement procedures and ability to upload all required documents via OBP’s e-procurement portal.
