The primary objective of this tender is to upgrade the existing Building Management System (BMS) at Joburg Theatre to ensure modern, reliable, and integrated control hardware and software. The upgrade aims to enhance operational efficiency, facilitate future expansion, and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure, thereby supporting Joburg Theatre’s vision of delivering world-class theatre experiences and improving operational cost-effectiveness.
The scope encompasses hardware procurement, engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, testing, training, and documentation of the upgraded BMS. It includes replacing outdated control hardware with new PLC panels, controllers, I/O modules, networking equipment, and software upgrades. The scope also covers system integration, factory acceptance testing, onsite commissioning, operator and maintenance training, and a 3-year maintenance plan post-handover. The upgrade involves 8 PLC panels with specified I/O capacities, integration with existing infrastructure, and adherence to quality standards (ISO 9001:2015).
