Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and install a wireless clock system for Joburg Theatre, including the provision of a master clock and wireless secondary analog clocks. The solution aims to ensure synchronized timekeeping across the venue, complying with relevant standards and regulations.

Scope

The scope encompasses the complete delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of a wireless clock system that includes:

• Master Clock (Model: SMA-3000 Series or equivalent)
• Wireless Secondary Clocks (Model: SAL-XXS-XXR-X-XX or equivalent)
• Interfaces & Time Sources, DST functions, clock circuits supporting corrections and programmed modes
• Wireless transmission and management, power options, backup, and self-diagnostics
• Compliance with FCC Part 15 and local standards

The system must be installed at designated locations within Joburg Theatre, tested for functionality, and handed over with appropriate training.

Technical Requirements

The wireless clock system must meet the following technical specifications:

• FCC Part 15 compliance, with certification evidence
• Model: SMA-3000 Series or equivalent for master clock
• Model: SAL-XXS-XXR-X-XX or equivalent for secondary clocks
• Support for 59-minute, 58-minute corrections, once-a-day pulse, and programmed modes
• Wireless & mesh communication with update frequency as specified
• Display options, sizes, and materials as per specifications
• Power options including 15–28 VAC/VDC, 85–130 VAC, and 180–260 VAC
• Self-diagnostics and compliance with FCC Part 15 Section 15.247 or local equivalent
• Delivery within specified timeframes, with proper packaging and management

Skills and Competency Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying and installing wireless clock systems of similar complexity and scale
• Proven track record with at least three (3) relevant projects, supported by appointment and completion references
• Technical expertise in radio communication standards, system integration, and troubleshooting
• Capability to provide installation, testing, commissioning, and training services
• Compliance with health and safety regulations, including Occupational Health & Safety Act (85 of 1993)
• Ability to deliver within the specified project timelines and manage site-specific requirements
• Qualified personnel with appropriate certifications and knowledge of relevant standards
