Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure comprehensive Information Technology Security Support Services for Joburg City Theatres (JCT). The aim is to ensure the security, stability, and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems, through expert support, maintenance, and security measures. The service provider will also assist in enhancing security protocols, monitoring, and incident response to safeguard organizational data and assets.

Scope

The scope encompasses providing a full range of IT security support services, including:

• Microsoft Server implementation, maintenance, and security checks
• Monthly security and email reporting with risk mitigation actions
• Log file monitoring for breaches and performance optimization
• Security maintenance, firewall checks, and penetration testing
• Software and security updates management
• Support for onsite IT management and support staff
• Support for hardware and software integration, including new hardware/software rollouts
• Desktop support and general IT assistance
• Backup services during IT Manager leave or absence
• Technical security consultations and governance adherence
• Support and response for after-hours and emergency IT issues

The service provider must work closely with JCT’s IT Office to deliver these services effectively across the organization’s infrastructure, ensuring continuous security and operational efficiency.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Expertise in installing, migrating, and securing Microsoft Server environments
• Regular security reporting and risk assessment (monthly reports, vulnerability evaluation, penetration testing)
• Monitoring server logs for breaches and performance issues
• Implementing and maintaining security patches, updates, and firewall configurations
• Support for existing infrastructure including networks, servers, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and routing
• Assistance with hardware and software integration, ensuring security standards are met
• Provision of onsite and after-hours support with response times of 1-2 hours for emergencies and 2-3 hours for general requests
• Support for backup systems and disaster recovery processes
• Participation in IT governance, planning, and security strategy meetings

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must demonstrate:

• Minimum of 8 years’ extensive experience in IT security services
• Proven track record in implementing and maintaining IT security solutions in similar organizational environments
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Server environments, including migrations and security best practices
• Ability to produce detailed security reports, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing results
• Capability to monitor and analyze server logs for breaches and performance issues
• Experience with firewall management, network security, and intrusion detection systems
• Qualified IT security staff with tertiary qualifications (preferably NQF level 6 or higher)
• Support staff with relevant certifications and experience in network security, server management, and incident response
• Excellent communication skills for reporting, coordination, and support
• Capacity to provide after-hours support with rapid response times
