Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supply and delivery of clear refuse bags, ensuring the municipality's waste management needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of clear refuse bags, packed in bales of 400 units each, to the specified delivery address within the stipulated timeframe. The procurement covers all related logistics and compliance requirements as outlined in the RFQ.

Technical Requirements

• Refuse bags must be clear and visible from a distance.
• Each bale must contain 400 refuse bags.
• Delivery must be made to the Supply Chain Management Unit at the specified address: End of Betastraal, Alton, Richards Bay.
• All alterations to the quotation must be signed by the bidder.
• Price changes after submission must be signed; unsigned alterations will lead to disqualification.
• Suppliers must be registered with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD).
• Provide a Letter of Good Standing and other statutory compliance documents.

Skills and Requirements

• Registration with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provision of CSD number.
• Compliance with statutory requirements such as Tax Compliance Certificate and Letter of Good Standing.
• Completion of RFQ in black ink; submissions in pencil will be rejected.
• Signatures on the quotation and all price alterations.
• Provision of relevant certifications if applicable (e.g., SHE Risk Management, Health Certificates for catering suppliers).
• Understanding of municipal procurement policies and preferential procurement points system.
• Ability to meet delivery deadlines and logistical requirements.
