Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure a service provider for the provision of Gardens & Grounds maintenance at GJGM Regional Hospital for a period of twelve (12) months. The service aims to ensure the hospital grounds are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing, supporting the hospital's operational and environmental standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Garden maintenance of all hospital garden areas and two external properties.
• Mowing of grassed areas and nature strips.
• Removal of rubbish and debris from all areas.
• Sweeping/blowing pathways, gutters, and driveways.
• Trimming and pruning of trees and shrubs, including overhanging branches.
• Removal and replacement of fallen or dead trees/shrubs/plants.
• Weed removal and weed control across all areas.
• Submission of Job Safety Analyses and Material Safety Data Sheets for all works.
• Weekly removal of garden refuse from the site.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Compliance with specified standards for garden maintenance.
• Adherence to safety procedures, including submission of safety data sheets.
• Use of appropriate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Proper disposal of garden waste in line with municipal bylaws.
• Maintenance of mulched areas with regular topping-up and aeration.
• Provision of essential tools and equipment, with proof of quotations.
• Implementation of safety measures, including PPE and medical surveillance.
• Compliance with specified working hours and staffing levels.
