Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure after-service repairs for air conditioners at five clinics under St Chads Community Health Centre (CHC). The aim is to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of air conditioning units across these clinics, addressing issues such as gas leaks, capacitor replacements, compressor faults, and unit replacements to maintain optimal temperature control and comfort.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Providing after-service repairs for air conditioners at five clinics: Ezakheni E Clinic, Limehill Clinic, Ekukhweni Clinic, Gcinisiloshona Clinic, and Sahlumbe Clinic.
• Specific tasks involve replacing blown internal fuses, repairing gas leaks, replacing capacitors, repairing compressors, and replacing entire units where necessary.
• Carrying out repairs on various units within the clinics, including reception, pharmacy, maternity, counseling rooms, and other designated areas.
• Producing safety files prior to commencement of work.
• Ensuring all work complies with technical and safety standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• All repairs must address gas leaks (410), capacitor replacements, compressor faults, and unit replacements with 12 Btu units where specified.
• Work must be carried out in accordance with the technical specifications provided, including compliance with safety standards.
• Suppliers must produce a valid CIDB grading of 1 ME or above and a completion certificate for similar work done.
• All equipment and materials used must meet the specified standards and be approved for use in such repairs.
• Work must be scheduled and completed within the contractual period, with adherence to safety and quality standards.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for bidders include:

• CIDB grading of 1 ME or above to ensure capability in executing the repair works.
• Qualified technicians with experience in air conditioning repairs, including handling gas leaks, capacitor replacements, compressor repairs, and unit replacements.
• Ability to produce and adhere to safety files and work in compliance with safety regulations.
• Proven track record of similar successful repair projects, supported by completion certificates and references.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and specifications for HVAC repairs and maintenance.
