Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure grass cutting equipment and full accessories for the Environment & Waste Management Unit of the Matatiele Local Municipality. The service provider is expected to supply, deliver, assemble, and brand the equipment with the municipal logo, ensuring compliance with specified technical standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope includes the supply, delivery, and assembly of grass cutting equipment and accessories as detailed in the specifications. The equipment must meet the technical requirements, be branded with the municipal logo, and be delivered within 10 days from the date of award. The project also encompasses providing samples for approval before delivery and ensuring all items are branded and compliant with local content requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Power output of 1.9KW for grass cutting equipment.
• Displacement of 38.9cc for blower equipment.
• Max airflow of 755 m3/h with round nozzle and 620 m3/h with flat nozzle.
• Weight of equipment: 4.4 kg.
• Includes protective goggles, gloves, bush knives, blower BG 86 petrol blower, steel wire brush head, and branded equipment.
• All equipment to be branded with engraved municipal logo.
• Items must meet the specifications outlined in the tender document, including durability, safety, and performance standards.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering similar grass cutting equipment and accessories.
• Capability to assemble and brand equipment as per municipal standards.
• Ability to provide samples for approval prior to full delivery.
• Knowledge of local content and procurement regulations, including compliance with local production thresholds.
• Capacity to meet delivery timelines and provide after-sales support if required.
• Competence in completing all administrative and statutory documentation, including tax compliance and preference claim forms.
