ALFRED NZO DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR MOUNT FRERE BULK SEWER – PHASE 2
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 6CE or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who Contractors to submit bids
Only tenderers who Bids are invited from suitably qualified professional service providers to prepare and submit proposals to undertake
the implementation of the Mt Frere Sewer – Phase 2 in the Alfred Nzo District Municipality. The following gives a high-level indication of
activities to be undertaken:
The scope of work for the project includes, but is not limited to, the following:
•Site establishment and project setup;
•Clearing and grubbing of the designated construction area;
•Upgrading of the existing sewer pipeline to a 500 mm diameter uPVC bulk collector pipeline, approximately 1,800 meters in length;
•Supply, installation, and construction of a 250 mm diameter sewer line, approximately 300 meters in length;
•Connection of the newly installed pipelines to the existing sewer manhole system;
•Construction of forty-four (44) new sewer manholes.
•Refurbishment of Mt Frere Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW) inlet Screens,
•Refurbishment / Repairs of 1 x No. of aerator
•Refurbishment of 2 x No. of anaerobic mixers;
•Refurbishment of 2 x No. of clarifiers;
•Refurbishment of sludge recycle and waste pumps;
•Refurbishment of activated sludge pumps;
•Refurbishment of the chlorination system.
•Construction of Reticulation pipeline chambers and complete with assemblies
are eligible to submit tenders.

A non-refundable tender deposit of R1,000.00 payable by proof of deposit or cash is required on collection of the Tender documents.
The bid documents are available at a non-refundable cost (VAT inclusive) to be collected at the supply Chain Management Office, Erf
1400 Ntsizwa Street, EMaxesibeni, 4735. Payments for Bid Documents must be done on our Municipal Offices (Revenue) at Reception
or through Bank deposit at First National Bank, Account Number 62024932974 and Branch Code 210821. All bidders are required to
attach the proof of payment receipts on their document when submitting.

A compulsory clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at ANDM Disaster Centre (KWABHACA) on 12
June 2026 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 10h00 on Monday, June 29, 2026.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
