Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services and materials to support the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality's Indigent Awareness Campaign, specifically focusing on free basic services. The campaign aims to raise awareness among indigent communities about available municipal services and facilitate their access to these services.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of various campaign activities and materials such as catering services, promotional materials (backpacks and umbrellas with municipal logos), and sound system hire with DJ and microphone. The campaign will involve organizing events, distributing promotional items, and ensuring effective communication to indigent communities within the municipality.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of catering for 300 participants, including specific food and beverage items.
• Supply of promotional materials: 35 backpacks with specific dimensions, nylon material, compartments, zippers, haul loop, and municipal logo; 35 umbrellas with municipal logo.
• Hiring of sound system with DJ and microphone setup, with capacity for 2 events.
• All materials must meet quality standards and be suitable for outdoor campaign activities.
• All quotations must be submitted on original municipal documentation, unsigned alterations will invalidate submissions.
• Prices must be firm, inclusive of VAT, and local content threshold is 100% where applicable.

Skills Requirements

Service providers must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

• Experience in organizing community awareness campaigns and events.
• Capability to supply catering services that meet health and safety standards.
• Ability to produce and supply promotional materials with municipal branding.
• Technical expertise in sound system hire and operation, including DJ services.
• Compliance with municipal procurement policies and technical specifications.
• Registered on the Central Supplier Database and compliant with tax and municipal requirements.
• Ability to deliver within tight deadlines and manage campaign logistics effectively.
