Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply polyethylene bags in various sizes and colors, specifically red 90L, clear 30L, and clear 90L, for use at Greytown Hospital under the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health. The goal is to ensure the hospital receives quality bags that meet specified standards and specifications, supporting their operational needs.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of polyethylene bags in the following categories:
  • Red 90L bags (100 micron thickness)
  • Clear 30L bags (560x610mm, 30 micron)
  • Clear 90L bags (760x1010mm, 40 micron)
• Delivery to Greytown Hospital, with the bags to be supplied once-off within the contract period.
• Compliance with detailed specifications and quality standards as outlined in Annexure A.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• The bags must conform to the sizes, micron thickness, and color specifications provided:
  • Clear 560x610mm, 30 micron, 30L
  • Clear 760x1010mm, 40 micron, 90L
  • Red 90L, 100 micron
• All bags must meet the quality standards specified in Annexure A, including compliance with size, material, and micron thickness.
• Suppliers must provide samples if required and ensure the products are compliant before delivery.
• The supply is a once-off contract, with delivery to be completed within the stipulated period.
