Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a 12-month contract for the supply and delivery of clear plastic garbage bags with a capacity of 30 liters. The goal is to ensure a consistent and reliable supply of quality garbage bags suitable for non-infectious, non-hazardous waste such as paper, food, and office waste at Catherine Booth Hospital.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of 1800 bales of 50 garbage bags (each bale containing 50 bags, totaling 9000 bags) over a period of 12 months. The delivery is to be made in quarterly batches (450 bales per quarter) to Catherine Booth Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal. The contract is once-off, covering all aspects from procurement to delivery, ensuring the hospital's waste management needs are met throughout the contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Product Description: Clear plastic garbage bags with a capacity of 30 liters.
• Size: 280mm x 570mm.
• Material Thickness: 32 microns.
• Quantity: 1800 bales of 50 bags each, with delivery of 450 bales per quarter.
• Quality Standards: Compliant with specified standards, including thickness and size specifications.
• Packaging: Bales of 50 bags, with each bale suitable for quarterly delivery.
• Additional: Samples are not required; delivery must adhere to specified standards and packaging.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering similar bulk quantities of plastic waste bags.
• Ability to meet quality standards and specifications as outlined.
• Efficient logistics and supply chain management skills to ensure timely quarterly deliveries.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points and declaration of interests.
• Capability to provide necessary documentation, including tax clearance, BBBEE certificates, and other statutory requirements.
