The primary objective of this tender is to engage qualified contractors to design, supply, and install the drainage system for the DFC Health Clinic at the University of Johannesburg.   • Construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls with waterproofing membranes and filter fabrics
  • Provision of toe drains, weep holes, and subsurface drainage pipes as detailed in the drawings
  • Proper site clearance, earthworks, and reinstatement of disturbed areas
  • Preparation and submission of detailed construction programs and methodology

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

  • Relevant experience in civil and drainage construction projects, with at least 4 completed projects valued at R4 million or more within the last 6 years
  • Qualified personnel including:
    • Construction Manager with a minimum qualification in Building Science or Civil Engineering (NQF Level 6 or above) and SACPCMP/ECSA registration
    • Site Agent with at least 5 years’ experience in civil works
    • Qualified Foreman with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in site supervision
    • Safety Officer registered with SACPCMP with at least 5 years’ experience in construction safety
  • Organizational capacity with a detailed staffing structure and project management methodology
  • Ability to prepare and execute a comprehensive construction program within the specified timeframe
  • Proven track record in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
