Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit formal written price quotations from reputable service providers for the supply and delivery of specific quantities of road marking paints and thinners. The goal is to procure quality materials that meet the specified standards to support municipal road marking projects.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of 30 x 20-liter containers of road marking paint in white and black.
• Supply and delivery of 6 x 5-liter containers of thinners.
• All quotations must be submitted electronically to [email protected] by 08 June 2026 at 12:00 pm.
• Enquiries should be directed to designated officials during office hours.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the materials are as follows:

• 20-liter white road marking paint (Code 1)
• 20-liter black road marking paint (Code 2)
• 5-liter thinners (Code 3)

All materials supplied must adhere to the specified quality standards, and suppliers may be required to provide samples prior to order confirmation. The municipality reserves the right to cancel orders if goods do not meet the required specifications, quality, or quantity.

Skills and Competency Requirements

Service providers must demonstrate:

• Reputation and competence in supplying and delivering similar materials.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including submission of signed MBD forms and valid tax clearance certificates.
• Registration with the Centralised Suppliers Database (CSD) and inclusion of MAAA and VAT registration numbers where applicable.
• Understanding of the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, including the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022, and municipal policies.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and deliver within the stipulated timeframe.
• Capacity to provide samples if requested and ensure goods meet quality standards upon delivery.
