Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified HVAC consultant to conduct a comprehensive condition assessment of existing HVAC systems across multiple campus buildings and oversee the implementation of remedial work as necessary. The consultant will ensure that HVAC systems are maintained to optimal standards, compliant with relevant regulations, and support the operational needs of the facilities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Conducting detailed condition assessments of HVAC systems in various buildings across South Campus, HMS, North Campus, Missonvale Campus, Second Avenue Business School, Ocean Sciences Campus, and other specified locations.
• Assessing air handling units (AHUs), water pressure pumps, and associated plant room equipment.
• Providing oversight and management of remedial HVAC works identified through assessments.
• Ensuring HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably, including systems in auditoriums, lecture halls, libraries, conference centers, and specialized facilities.
• Reporting on system conditions, recommending maintenance or upgrade actions, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Performing thorough inspections and condition assessments of all HVAC equipment listed, including air handling units, pumps, and associated control systems.
• Providing detailed reports with findings, recommendations, and remedial action plans.
• Overseeing the execution of remedial works, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
• Monitoring and verifying the performance of HVAC systems post-remediation.
• Ensuring systems meet energy efficiency and environmental standards.

Skills Requirements

The successful tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven expertise in HVAC system assessment, design, and maintenance.
• Experience in managing large-scale building services projects, particularly in institutional or campus environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of air handling units, water pumps, and associated plant room equipment.
• Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and oversee remedial works effectively.
• Relevant professional qualifications in mechanical engineering or HVAC specialization.
