Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure HVAC ducting services for Victoria Mxenge Hospital, including cleaning, inspection, reporting defects, and maintenance of air ducting systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Servicing, cleaning, and reporting defects of HVAC ducting, diffusers, and fresh air grills across various hospital departments and units.
• Attending to scheduled inspections and maintenance of air handling units (AHUs) and associated duct systems in designated hospital areas.
• Providing safety compliance, site briefing, and technical reports related to HVAC systems.
• Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and reporting faults as per specifications.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and technical standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Specialized cleaning and inspection of HVAC ducting systems, diffusers, and vents in specified hospital areas such as Family Clinic, Laundry, wards, I Block, Medical Physics, OTSW, Physio, PRU, N Block, S Block, OTO, Labour/Nursery ward, and other designated units.
• Compliance with safety standards, including submission of safety files, risk assessments, and adherence to safety officer instructions.
• Attendance at compulsory site briefing sessions and submission of detailed work plans.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance schedules, including inspection, cleaning, and fault reporting.
• Providing detailed reports on faults, defects, and service completion, including parts used and work performed.
• Use of approved materials, tools, and equipment, with certification and certification of personnel involved.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Specialization in air duct cleaning and HVAC system maintenance, with core business in duct cleaning.
• CIDB registration relevant to the scope of work.
• Qualified technicians and artisans with certified trade papers and comprehensive CVs, all certified as original.
• Experience in executing HVAC maintenance works in hospital or similar healthcare environments.
• Adherence to safety protocols, including submission of safety files, risk assessments, and safety induction participation.
• Availability of trained personnel capable of performing inspections, repairs, and reporting in accordance with technical specifications.
