Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to render comprehensive hygiene and sanitation services at the Kimberley and Upington offices for a period of 36 months. The services aim to ensure hygienic, safe, and efficient sanitation facilities, including waste disposal, hygiene product dispensing, and related maintenance.

Scope

The scope of work includes the provision, installation, and maintenance of various hygiene-related equipment and services, such as:

• Sanitary disposal bins with non-touch pedal mechanisms, including removal of sanitary waste twice monthly in Kimberley and Upington.
• Dispenser units for hygiene bags/pads in women’s cubicles, wall-mounted and discreet.
• Installation and servicing of automatic air fresheners and refills in bathrooms.
• Waste bins for bathrooms, including lockable and refillable units, with installation in specified locations.
• Sensor-activated sanitizer dispensers with refills, including servicing and maintenance.
• Automatic toilet cleaning dispensers with touch-free operation, servicing, and refilling.
• Provision of keys for internal cleaners to refill equipment.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the services and equipment include:

• Sanitary disposal bins must be modern, hygienic, and hands-free, with smooth surfaces and easy cleaning.
• Hygiene bag dispensers should dispense single bags discreetly and safely, wall-mounted.
• Air fresheners must be metered, auto-fragrance spray units with refills, installed in specified locations.
• Waste bins should be lockable, refillable, wall-mounted, and suitable for public bathrooms.
• Sanitizer dispensers should be touch-free, sensor-activated, with view windows for maintenance, and serviced regularly.
• Toilet auto cleaner dispensers must be touchless, with sterilization features, and serviced bi-monthly.
• All equipment must be installed, maintained, and serviced as per the specified frequencies, ensuring hygiene standards are met.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience of at least two (2) years in providing hygiene services, supported by references and proof of previous work.
• Capability to install, operate, and maintain the specified hygiene equipment to meet technical standards.
• Compliance with administrative requirements, including registration with relevant authorities (CSD, CIPC), and submission of valid B-BBEE certificates and tax clearance certificates.
• Ability to provide trained personnel for servicing and refilling equipment, including keys management and waste removal.
• Understanding of health and safety standards and the ability to adhere to service level agreements.
