Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply, deliver, and install modular offices at Ntbankulu Local Municipality. The project aims to provide functional office spaces, including offices, a boardroom, kitchen, and ablution facilities, as specified in the project plan.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement, transportation, and installation of modular office units, including:

• Design and provision of a park home floor plan measuring 19m x 7m
• Installation of six offices, one boardroom, one kitchen, and one ablution facility
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards and defect liability requirements

The project includes post-installation defect management and a defect liability period of six months.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of detailed floor plans and specifications for the modular units
• Compliance with South African Bureau Standards (SABS) for quality assurance
• Delivery and installation at designated Ntbankulu Municipality sites
• Submission of a defect management plan, including a 10% retention of the total contract value for defect rectification over six months
• Verification of CIDB grading (minimum Grade 2GB/2CE or higher)
• Application on the Central Supplier Database and submission of the report

Skills and Experience Requirements

Proposals will be evaluated based on the capacity and experience of the service provider, including:

• Demonstrated experience in supplying and installing modular offices or similar structures
• Provision of appointment letters and references from previous clients for similar projects (minimum of four references for full points)
• Qualified key personnel, including:
• CVs of key staff with NQF Level 6 qualification in Civil Engineering and trade test in carpentry with at least 5 years’ experience (30 points)
• Or trade test in carpentry or NQF Level 6 qualification with similar experience (15 points)
• Methodology demonstrating capacity to deliver quality goods and services
• A detailed defect management plan covering the six-month defect liability period
