Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to source, supply, and deliver ground maintenance services and products to Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ). The aim is to ensure effective and efficient maintenance of parks, cemeteries, and nature reserves, supporting JCPZ's commitment to service excellence, environmental sustainability, and community well-being.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of ground maintenance supplies and services, specifically the supply of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, rooting hormones, and related ground maintenance products as detailed in the specifications. The tender also covers the delivery of these products to designated sites, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and participation in site briefings and evaluations.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and specifications as per the tender documents.
• Appointment to the panel of service providers for supply and delivery of pesticides and ground maintenance products.
• Provision of valid municipal statements, COIDA certificates, joint venture agreements (if applicable), and regulatory compliance documents.
• Adherence to delivery timelines, with services to be prepared or delivered before official orders are received.
• Compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards during supply and delivery.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submission of relevant vendor numbers.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of ground maintenance products, including pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
• Ability to complete and submit detailed quotations, including pricing schedules and specifications.
• Understanding of regulatory and safety compliance related to chemical and ground maintenance supplies.
• Effective communication skills for site briefings, evaluations, and correspondence.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and handle logistics efficiently.
• Experience in working within municipal or public sector procurement frameworks.
• Proficiency in completing required forms such as MBD 1, MBD 3.1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, and MBD 9.
• Ability to demonstrate ethical conduct, compliance, and understanding of the Code of Ethics as outlined by JCPZ.
