Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to undertake the once-off project for the renovation and lighting installation at Kendal Yard, specifically focusing on high mast lighting, street lighting, outdoor area lighting, LV electrical reticulation, and pole/mast erection within the Transnet Soc Ltd Kendal Inland Terminal.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Renovation of the Kendal Inland Terminal's building and operations area.
• Provision and installation of high mast lighting, street lighting, and outdoor area lighting.
• Electrical reticulation works and civil works related to high mast and pole/mast erection.
• Execution of civil and electrical infrastructure works, including foundations, excavations, and backfilling.
• Preparation and submission of method statements, credentials, and relevant documentation.
• Provision of traceable references demonstrating relevant project experience.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Compliance with applicable standards and specifications for electrical and civil works.
• Submission of detailed method statements covering work methodology, quality assurance, safety, program, resources, and risk management.
• Provision of valid electrical and civil credentials, including Wireman's license, relevant experience, and traceable references.
• Execution of electrical works in accordance with statutory and safety regulations.
• Demonstration of proven experience in high mast lighting, street lighting, and civil infrastructure projects.
• Submission of project references with detailed client contact information and project scope.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for the tender include:

• Qualified electricians with valid Electrical Certificates of Compliance (CoC), Wireman's licenses, and relevant experience (minimum two years post-licensing).
• Civil engineers with a minimum BSC/B Tech or equivalent civil qualification and experience in civil foundation and infrastructure works.
• Project team members capable of setting out, excavation, reinforced concrete foundations, and civil installation works.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive method statements and demonstrate understanding of safety, quality, and project management standards.
• Traceable references from previous projects demonstrating successful execution of similar works.
