Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a qualified and experienced media monitoring service provider to monitor SANEDI's activities and media coverage from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2028. The service aims to deliver comprehensive monitoring, tracking, analysis, reporting, and strategic media intelligence related to SANEDI, its programmes, leadership, stakeholders, and the broader energy sector.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Monitoring and tracking SANEDI-related media coverage across various platforms including online, social media, print, and broadcast sources.
• Providing qualitative and quantitative analysis, including strategic insights and recommendations.
• Delivering regular reports such as daily media monitoring reports, weekly trend reports, monthly analytical reports, quarterly strategic reports, and annual impact reports.
• Providing real-time alerts, data visualization dashboards, and ad hoc reports as required.
• Ensuring continuous system configuration, dashboard setup, user onboarding, training, and ongoing maintenance.

Technical Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Capability to monitor and analyze media coverage across all relevant sources, including online, social media, print, and broadcast.
• Provision of near real-time data updates and visualization through dashboards.
• Ability to generate comprehensive reports at specified frequencies (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Provision of real-time alerts and continuous system configuration and maintenance.
• Access to a media content database of over 350,000 international and national sources, with a local database exceeding 6,000 sources.
• Ability to create ad hoc searches and provide customized reports as needed.
• Compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards, including non-disclosure of information to third parties without written approval.
• Demonstration of relevant experience, portfolio, and a clear methodology for media monitoring and analysis.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• At least five (5) years of experience in media monitoring and analysis.
• Proven ability to deliver comprehensive media monitoring services across multiple platforms.
• Technical expertise in data visualization, real-time monitoring, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely.
• Effective project management skills to ensure timely delivery of reports and system setup.
• Ability to provide ongoing support, training, and system maintenance throughout the contract period.
