Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit bids for the supply and delivery of lamps and floodlights to City Power Johannesburg. The aim is to procure quality lighting materials that meet specified technical standards, ensuring reliable illumination solutions for City Power's infrastructure.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of die-cast aluminium lamps with specified specifications (black colour, glass lens, IP65, 230V, 200W, 6500K, 20000 lumens).
• Supply of T8 LED tubes (Bi-pin, 20W, 6500K, 180-degree beam, 1.5m length).
• Delivery of materials directly to City Power stores at specified locations.
• Completion of all required documentation and compliance with technical and administrative requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the materials include:

• Die cast aluminium housing, black colour.
• Lens material: Glass, with an IP rating of 65.
• Voltage: 230V, single side supply.
• Wattage: 200W for lamps; 20W for LED tubes.
• Colour temperature: 6500K.
• Illumination: 20,000 lumens.
• LED tubes: Bi-pin T8, 1.5 meters long, with a beam angle of 180 degrees.

Skills and Compliance Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Original and valid SARS tax clearance certificate.
• Valid and certified B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Completed and signed MBD forms (MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9).
• Supplier’s CSD number and municipal rates/taxes statement (not in arrears >90 days).
• Valid CIPC registration documents.
• Certified ID copies of shareholders and directors.
• Provision of catalogues or data sheets for the supplied items.
• Proof of warranty (minimum 12 months).
• ISO 9001:2015 certification from the manufacturer.
• Electrical safety compliance certificates (e.g., CE, CCC, IEC standards, or SANS standards).

Evaluation will be based on technical compliance, warranty, ISO certification, safety standards, and B-BBEE status, with a minimum threshold of 80% required to proceed to the next evaluation stage.
