Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of tapes, specifically PVC types in various colors, to meet the needs of City Power Johannesburg. The process aims to select qualified suppliers through a competitive bidding process, ensuring compliance with technical, legal, and socio-economic requirements.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of the following tapes:

• PVC Type B Yellow – 10,000 units
• PVC Type B Blue – 5,000 units
• PVC Type B Black – 15,000 units
• PVC Type B Red – 5,000 units

Delivery is to be made directly to City Power stores at specified locations. The scope also encompasses compliance with technical specifications, submission of required documentation, and adherence to evaluation criteria.

Technical Requirements

Suppliers must provide:

• Fully completed technical schedule with specifications for each item (SAP Nos: 391, 392, 6059, 5953), signed and compliant.
• Complete type-test reports or technical data catalogues for the tapes.
• Valid ISO 9001:2015 certification.

Additional technical compliance includes adherence to specifications, quality standards, and proper documentation submission as outlined in the tender documents.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Legal compliance through valid SARS PIN, CSD number, and municipal tax clearance.
• Business legitimacy via valid CIPC registration and certified ID copies of shareholders and directors.
• Socio-economic goals, including:
• Ownership by black people with at least 51% shareholding (maximum 20 points)
• Ownership by black youth with at least 51% shareholding (maximum 8 points)
• Ownership by people with disabilities with at least 51% shareholding (maximum 4 points)
• Completion of all mandatory BBBEE documentation, including sworn affidavits or BBBEE certificates.
• Experience and capacity to supply the specified quantities within the stipulated timeframe.

Furthermore, bidders must declare their interests, confirm the authenticity of their submissions, and comply with supply chain management and anti-collusion regulations as per the provided declaration forms.
