Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to upgrade and modernize the Terminal Control Room at SANPC Saldanha to enhance ergonomics, improve functionality, and establish a more efficient and professional workspace. The upgrade aims to replace outdated furniture and equipment with modern, durable, and high-traffic suitable solutions, ensuring the control room meets current operational requirements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Assessment and verification of existing electrical layouts and cabling routes through a mandatory site visit.
• Supply and installation of ergonomic operator chairs, visitor chairs, and cabinets, including a dedicated key storage compartment for up to 200 keys.
• Provision of integrated facilities for preparation areas, CCTV footage monitoring, and SCADA display.
• Electrical and cable management, including layout design and channels, with assistance from the electrical department.
• Application of appropriate finishes, color schemes, and flooring specifications.
• Compliance with certification standards such as SANS 10142 for wiring of premises.
• Delivery within specified working hours, warranty provisions, and adherence to safety and security protocols.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Site visit to verify dimensions, cabling routes, and layout before quoting and fabrication.
• Use of durable, easy-to-clean furniture suitable for high-traffic control environments.
• Electrical layouts to be designed and implemented with assistance from the electrical department.
• Furniture and fixtures must meet relevant standards and certifications, including wiring standards (SANS 10142).
• Finishings and color schemes to align with the existing environment and operational needs.
• Warranty period for supplied goods/services.

Skills Requirements
