Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a reputable service provider to perform the service, calibration, and certification of various small laboratory equipment at multiple NHLS laboratories in Limpopo on a once-off basis. The service aims to ensure that all specified laboratory equipment functions accurately and complies with relevant standards, thereby supporting the NHLS's diagnostic and testing activities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of onsite (except for pipettes) calibration, servicing, and certification of various small lab equipment across NHLS laboratories in Limpopo.
• Maintaining stock of replacement parts to ensure continuous service (if applicable).
• Performing calibration and certification for equipment such as centrifuges, incubators, water baths, thermometers, mixers, pipettes, ovens, and other specified devices.
• Providing detailed schedules of work carried out and ensuring all work is completed within the specified timeframe.
• Adhering to safety, quality, and technical standards as specified in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of calibration, servicing, and certification for a specified list of laboratory equipment, including but not limited to centrifuges, incubators, water baths, thermometers, pipettes, ovens, and counters.
• Equipment must be calibrated according to ISO 17025 standards, with proof of certification provided.
• Sample certificates of calibration for equipment such as hot ovens, incubators, thermometers, and centrifuges must be submitted, not older than 5 years.
• Work must be performed onsite at all specified NHLS laboratories in Limpopo, except for pipettes.
• The bidder must keep a stock of replacement parts to ensure continuous service.
• Work schedules must be submitted to NHLS management for approval.
• In case of unforeseen incidents damaging NHLS property, the bidder is responsible for repairs or replacements.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Knowledge and experience in the calibration, servicing, and certification of small laboratory equipment.
• ISO 17025 accreditation or equivalent certification to perform calibration services.
• Capability to provide references for similar projects completed within the last three years.
• Ability to supply sample calibration certificates for relevant equipment.
• Qualified personnel with technical expertise in laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Capacity to perform onsite work at multiple laboratories and manage scheduling efficiently.
