Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the maintenance and servicing of oxygen vacuum plants at Imbalenhle Community Health Centre. The aim is to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and compliance of medical gas systems, thereby supporting effective healthcare delivery.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Preventative maintenance of oxygen manifolds and vacuum/suction banks.
• Annual servicing of medical gas systems, including cleaning, leak checks, pressure testing, and safety system inspections.
• Inspection and replacement of worn or faulty components such as O-rings, pig-tails, fittings, pressure valves, safety valves, and warning lights.
• Verification of system operation, leakages, and safety compliance.
• Completion of detailed checklists and reports for each service visit.
• Adherence to specified standards and specifications outlined in the annexure.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the service include:

• Thorough cleaning of the gas bank before servicing.
• Leak detection and pressure system checks.
• Inspection and testing of change-over systems, pressure reducing valves, safety valves, and warning panels.
• Replacement of all O-rings and worn components as necessary.
• Verification of proper operation of safety and automatic solenoid valves.
• Strip and clean needle valves and record pressure settings.
• Check and record the settings of pressure and safety valves, warning light pressure switches, and change-over control pressure.
• Inspection of wall outlet plugs for leaks and proper functioning.
• Drain condensate and verify the operation of relief valves and dryers.
• Ensure proper ventilation and lubrication levels for compressors.
• Perform overall visual inspection to confirm all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Complete and submit detailed service checklists and reports.

The service must comply with the attached specifications, standards, and annexures, including the requirement for an addendum to the specifications and submission of relevant documentation. The service provider must also ensure safety standards are met and system integrity maintained throughout the process.
