Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the maintenance and servicing of water reservoir tanks at Ashdown Clinic, including cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance to ensure water quality and system integrity.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services required to:

• Disconnect and reconnect downpipes feeding the tanks
• Clean roofs, gutters, and tanks using high-pressure water jets
• Drain and thoroughly rinse interior tanks
• Refill tanks with municipality-supplied water
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including CIDB SO grading requirements
• Provide preventative maintenance and inspection services at Ashdown Clinic’s water reservoir tanks

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to specifications outlined in the annexure and BOQ
• Compliance with CIDB SO grading standards
• Provision of safety files and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance
• Use of approved and certified materials and equipment
• Work to be scheduled to minimize disruption to clinic operations
• Proper disposal of waste and contaminated water
• Provision of proof of RSA ID for local employment (EPWP) initiatives

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Registered CIDB SO grading for relevant work categories
• Qualified and experienced personnel in water tank maintenance and cleaning
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and proper safety procedures
• Ability to work in a healthcare environment with minimal disruption
• Capability to provide documentation such as safety files, compliance certificates, and proof of local employment
