Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply electrical materials to Greytown Hospital in accordance with specified standards and requirements. The aim is to ensure the availability of quality electrical components and equipment necessary for hospital maintenance and operations.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a wide range of electrical materials, including but not limited to plugs, LED lighting, cables, pumps, floodlights, switch sockets, and other electrical accessories. The materials must conform to specified standards (SABS approved) and be delivered to Greytown Hospital's designated maintenance department within the contract period, which is once-off.

Technical Requirements

• All supplied electrical items must meet the specifications detailed in Annexure A, including size, material, and quality standards.
• Items must be compliant with SABS standards and approved quality standards.
• Samples may be required upon delivery for verification against specifications.
• Items should be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
• Delivery must be completed within the specified delivery period, with all necessary documentation provided.
• Suppliers must ensure that all electrical materials are new, unused, and current models.
• Pricing must be inclusive of transport, profit, and applicable taxes (VAT where applicable).

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying electrical materials to institutional or healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of relevant standards (SABS) and compliance requirements for electrical components.
• Ability to provide technical support and documentation, including detailed specifications and manuals.
• Capacity to deliver within tight deadlines and handle logistics efficiently.
• Competence in completing and submitting all required documentation accurately, including preference points claim forms and declaration forms.
• Understanding of procurement policies, including preference points system and compliance with legislation such as the Public Finance Management Act and Competition Act.
