Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of paper towels and still water to the Parktown Inyanda 1 building in Johannesburg. The aim is to ensure the provision of high-quality, reliable products that meet specified standards, supporting Transnet's operational needs.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of 160mm x 1500m high-capacity, single-ply jumbo paper towel rolls suitable for industrial and workshop settings.
• Supply of Valpre or equivalent still spring water in recyclable 500ml PET bottles, packaged in packs of 24 x 500ml.
• Delivery of these products to the specified Inyanda 1 building in Parktown, Johannesburg.

Skills and Requirements

• Registration on the Transnet Digital Procurement System (TDPS) Supplier Submission Portal, with the ability to upload bid documents (up to 30MB per upload, multiple uploads permitted).
• Electronic submission of all pricing information via the eSupplier portal; paper-based pricing schedules are not accepted.
• Provision of valid tax compliance documentation, including Tax Compliance Status (TCS) certificate or PIN, and CSD registration where applicable.
• Submission of relevant B-BBEE certification or sworn affidavits to claim preference points, with supporting evidence such as certificates or certified ID copies.
• Understanding of and compliance with Transnet’s bidding procedures, terms, and conditions, including adherence to deadlines and submission of mandatory returnable documents.
• Ability to demonstrate compliance with technical specifications and quality standards for the supplied products.
• Capacity to provide proof of relevant experience and capability to deliver within the specified scope and timeframe.
