Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure transportation services for a group traveling to Hermanus and returning from 01 to 03 May 2026. The aim is to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant transport for the specified dates, meeting the municipality’s requirements for vehicle condition, insurance, and legal permits.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of transport services from Knysna to Hermanus and back.
• Use of 1x 15-seater taxi with trailer.
• Departure on 01 May 2026 and return on 03 May 2026.
• Vehicle inspection and compliance checks prior to travel.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the service include:

• Vehicles must be in good condition and suitable for passenger transport.
• Proof of vehicle ownership, insurance, and public liability insurance must be attached.
• Driver must possess a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP), with proof attached.
• Route permits must be provided if applicable.
• Vehicles must pass inspection by the Traffic Department prior to travel.

• Registration on the Knysna Municipality’s Accredited Supplier Database and the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Experience in providing transport services of similar scope and scale.
• Ability to supply vehicles that meet safety and operational standards.
• Provision of certified copies of relevant documentation (tax compliance, B-BBEE status, municipal accounts).
• Capacity to deliver the service within the specified dates and conditions.
