Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure license renewals for Veeam and VMware products, ensuring continued support and licensing compliance for the Department of Information Technology at Joburg Theatre. The process aims to select qualified suppliers capable of providing cost-effective and reliable licensing solutions that meet specified technical and contractual requirements.

Scope

The scope of this tender includes:

• Renewal of Veeam Data Platform Foundation Universal Subscription License, supporting up to 30 instances with a one-year renewal period starting October 10, 2025.
• Renewal of VMware vSphere Standard 8 – Per Core License, covering 96 cores with a validity period from September 27, 2025, to September 26, 2026.
• Provision of support services, including upfront billing and 24/7 production support for the Veeam license.
• Delivery of licenses and associated documentation as per the specifications available on Joburg Theatre’s website.
• Adherence to procurement policies, including submission of compulsory documents and compliance with relevant regulations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender are as follows:

• Licensing:
  • Veeam Data Platform Foundation Universal Subscription License, includes Enterprise Plus Edition features, supporting 10 instances, valid for one year.
  • VMware vSphere Standard 8 – Per Core License, supporting 96 cores, valid for one year.
• Support Services:
  • Upfront billing with 24/7 production support for Veeam licenses.
• Documentation & Certification:
  • Complete and submit all mandatory forms including MBD 1, MBD 2, MBD 3.1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, and MBD 9.
  • Provide certified copies of BBBEE certificates or sworn affidavits.
  • Attach proof of company registration, tax clearance, and CSD registration not older than 30 days.
• Pricing:
  • Prices must be inclusive of VAT, delivery charges, and all applicable taxes.
  • Pricing should be firm for the duration of the contract, with no escalation claims unless explicitly stated.
• Delivery & Support:
  • Licenses must be delivered to the specified address before the start date.
  • Support services must be available as per the licensing terms, including 24/7 support for the Veeam platform.
