Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of pre-qualified service providers to render guy rope greasing services to Sentech SOC Ltd for a period of five (5) years. The services aim to ensure the structural integrity and longevity of mast structures by performing inspection, cleaning, and greasing of guy ropes, thereby preventing corrosion and deterioration. The appointment is intended to support preventative maintenance aligned with Sentech’s Mast Maintenance Policy and SOPs, ensuring continuous, reliable broadcasting and digital infrastructure services without interruption.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, and transport required for guy rope greasing on mast structures.
• Inspection and greasing of guy ropes across up to five (5) levels, including diamond stays where applicable.
• Use of suitable greasing materials compatible with guy rope protection requirements.
• Protection of existing infrastructure during execution, including anchor blocks, vibration dampers, and solar systems.
• Adherence to safety, environmental, and legal requirements, including site-specific safety regulations and environmental protection measures.
• Compliance with technical specifications for equipment, materials, and safety standards.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as safety plans, inspection checklists, and progress reports.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of references for completed guy rope greasing projects at heights of at least 80 meters.
• Submission of a detailed Guy Rope Greasing methodology demonstrating knowledge of the process.
• Proof of qualified personnel, including valid certificates and CVs of riggers experienced in mast greasing.
• Implementation of a comprehensive safety plan, including emergency procedures, site inspections, and risk assessments.
• Use of approved greasing materials suitable for the application and compatible with infrastructure.
• Adherence to environmental and safety standards, including protection of infrastructure and compliance with OHSE policies.
• Provision of legal appointments, competency certificates, and insurance documentation.
• Preparation of detailed execution programs, progress reports, and site management plans.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified riggers with valid certificates and relevant experience in mast and guy rope greasing projects at heights exceeding 80 meters.
• Technical expertise in mast maintenance, inspection, and safety procedures.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing safety and environmental management plans.
• Ability to prepare detailed methodologies, inspection checklists, and progress reports.
• Experience in handling infrastructure protection, working at heights, and using approved greasing equipment and materials.
• Knowledge of legal and safety compliance standards applicable to tower maintenance and working at heights.
