Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver a two-day Board Capacity Building Training focused on Corporate Governance and Risk Management. The training aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of BANKSETA board members and relevant stakeholders, ensuring effective discharge of governance duties in line with King IV principles, legislation such as POPIA, and best practices.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Design and deliver a two-day face-to-face training session on Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Social & Ethics Committee responsibilities.
• Cover topics such as BANKSETA governance frameworks, King IV changes, roles and responsibilities of Chairpersons, meeting management, board dynamics, strategy, performance, reporting, remuneration, and relevant legislation.
• Identify and address existing and emerging skills gaps among board members.
• Conduct training within specified venues in Centurion, Waterfall, Midrand, Melrose Arc, or Sandton.
• Provide training without summative assessments, focusing on practical understanding.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Accreditation as a recognized training provider.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in corporate governance training.
• Provision of facilitator CVs demonstrating relevant experience.
• At least two written references from SETA or public entities within the past three years, on client letterhead, signed, and with contact details.
• Pricing on official letterhead, with total costs clearly indicated, valid for 90 days.

Skills Requirements

The service provider should possess:

• Expertise in corporate governance, risk management, and ethics training.
• Experience in facilitating training for boards and governance bodies.
• Ability to tailor content to address King IV updates, legislation (POPIA), and sector-specific governance issues.
• Strong facilitation skills to engage board members and address practical governance challenges.
• Capacity to deliver training in a face-to-face format within the specified venues.
