Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure a service provider for the provision of ablution cleaning and hygiene services at Naledi for a period of 6 months. The aim is to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitary standards are maintained across specified ablution facilities within the designated area.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of cleaning equipment and preliminary & general cleaning services for ablution blocks, including storage and layout adherence.
• Sourcing and deployment of 8 cleaners from the local region (Region 8, Ward 69) to perform daily cleaning services.
• Supply of consumables such as 1-ply toilet paper, pine gel (25L), dishwashing liquid (25L), Domestos (16L), sanitary bins, and waste disposal bags for 16 ablution blocks.

The services are to be delivered over a 6-month period, with specific requirements for cleaning standards, supply of materials, and waste management.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of cleaning equipment and supplies as per attached layout drawings and specifications.
• Deployment of fully trained and locally sourced cleaners (full-time, adhering to latest gazetted labour rates).
• Supply of specified consumables in quantities aligned with the weekly and monthly requirements.
• Adherence to hygiene standards and proper waste disposal practices, including sanitary bin management.
• Compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for the service providers and personnel include:

• Experience in cleaning and hygiene services, particularly in ablution facilities.
• Ability to source and manage local cleaning staff with proper training.
• Knowledge of hygiene standards, waste management, and safety protocols.
• Capability to supply and operate cleaning equipment as specified.
• Compliance with labour regulations and adherence to gazetted labour rates for full-time cleaners.
