Objectives

To engage a qualified contractor for the safe removal of existing emission control ceramic filter elements and the provision, delivery, installation, and commissioning of replacement units that meet precise dimensional and performance standards, ensuring continued operational efficiency and environmental compliance.

Scope of Work

• Removal and disposal of outdated ceramic filter elements.
• Supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of new ceramic filter elements.
• Dedicated installation and commissioning services for a separate batch of units.
• Strict adherence to specified engineering tolerances, including header plate hole diameter (64mm), element barrel (60.5mm), element flange (80mm diameter, 18–22mm depth), element gasket (80mm OD, 63mm ID), and header plate gasket (90mm OD, 65mm ID).
• Execution of all works upon receipt of a formal purchase order, with a clearly stated delivery and completion timeline.

Technical Requirements

• Submission of a valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration number accompanied by a full CSD report.
• Quotation submitted on official company letterhead, signed, and indicating validity period, delivery date, and total cost in South African Rand (inclusive of VAT, delivery, insurance, and all applicable taxes).
• Clear specification of warranty coverage, duration, and service commitments.
• Compliance with National Treasury’s General Conditions of Contract and the procuring entity’s Supply Chain Management Code of Conduct.
• Completion and submission of all required Standard Bidding Document (SBD) forms.
• Provision of at least two reference letters or completion certificates from projects executed within the past five years. Each document must include the client’s name, contact details, project description, duration, and contract value.
• Acceptance of full liability for the proper execution, safety, and fulfillment of all quoted goods and services.

Skills & Experience Requirements

• Proven expertise in the supply, mechanical installation, and functional commissioning of emission-control ceramic filtration systems.
• Technical proficiency in handling precision-engineered components and maintaining strict dimensional tolerances during fitment.
• Competence in system testing, calibration, and commissioning protocols to verify operational readiness.
• Strong project management capabilities to coordinate logistics, removal, installation, and handover without disrupting ongoing operations.
• Administrative competence to prepare fully compliant bid submissions, manage documentation, and facilitate third-party reference verification.
