Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint an accredited service provider to conduct an Introduction to Safety Management Training Course (SAMTRAC) and related SAMTRAC training courses for seven (7) employees within the City of Johannesburg's Group Corporate and Shared Services. The training aims to enhance understanding of safety management, legal compliance, hazard identification, risk assessment, and SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) management systems.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Training Group SHE employees on Introduction to SAMTRAC and SAMTRAC courses.
• Providing training venue, catering, manuals, and learner support.
• Facilitating training sessions as per content, monitoring classes, and submitting attendance registers.
• Issuing certificates of competency upon successful completion.
• Duration of the contract to be determined based on certification requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Delivery of accredited training aligned with the unit standards for SAMTRAC.
• Provision of training manuals, venue, and catering services.
• Facilitation of training sessions with experienced facilitators, assessors, and moderators.
• Monitoring and evaluation of learner progress and attendance.
• Issuance of certificates of competency.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and accreditation standards.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Accreditation with HWSETA, merSETA, or other ETQA bodies capable of delivering SHE training programs.
• Proven experience in conducting SAMTRAC and SHE management training.
• Qualified facilitators, assessors, and moderators with relevant unit standards and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training content effectively.
• Provision of CVs, references, and proof of qualifications (certified copies).
• Ability to support learners and facilitate practical assessments.
