Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage qualified training providers to deliver comprehensive First Aid Level 3 training, specifically designed for advanced first responders. The training aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to emergencies, assess situations, and manage injuries or sudden illnesses in accordance with SAQA Unit Standard ID 376480.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Providing advanced first responder training covering principles of advanced first aid in emergencies.
• Demonstrating preparedness for sudden illnesses or emergencies.
• Assessing and managing emergency scenes/disasters.
• Explaining anatomy and physiology related to injuries and illnesses.
• Applying primary first aid protocols for all age groups.
• Managing shock and other critical conditions.
• Delivering training over a 5-day period through classroom instruction, practical exercises, and simulations.

The training is intended for employees at all levels within the organization, particularly those responsible for providing advanced first aid.

Technical Requirements

• Delivery of training aligned with SAQA Unit Standard ID 376480.
• Training duration: approximately 5 days, including theoretical and practical components.
• Use of classroom instruction, practical exercises, and simulations.
• Provision of course learning materials and assessment tools.
• Qualified facilitators, assessors, and moderators with accreditation for First Aid Level 3.
• Cost-effective proposals with detailed pricing per candidate and total costs.
• Compliance with all relevant health and safety standards during training delivery.
