Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the supply and delivery of café quality tableware, including cutlery, crockery, and related items, to the William Humphreys Art Gallery (WHAG). The aim is to procure high-quality, new products from original manufacturers that meet specified safety and operational standards, supporting the gallery's cultural and aesthetic mission.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various café tableware items such as cups, saucers, teapots, mugs, plates, trays, cutlery, tongs, cake servers, and cake stands. All products must be of good quality, dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe, and supplied in the specified quantities. The items should be delivered to WHAG within the stipulated timeframe, complying with all relevant regulations and standards.

Technical Requirements

• Items must be new, from original manufacturers, and include all necessary accessories for normal operation.
• Tableware must be of café quality, durable, and safe for dishwasher, microwave, and oven use.
• Specific product sizes and quantities are detailed in the tender documentation.
• Delivery must be completed within the agreed timeframe.
• Compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) Act 1 of 1999 and related regulations is mandatory.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Proven ability to supply high-quality café tableware consistent with the specifications.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and submission of the WHAG SBD 4 Form – Bidder’s Disclosure.
• Demonstration of compliance with B-BBEE verification requirements, including valid certificates or affidavits.
• Ability to provide proof of ownership, relevant business registration documents, and identities of shareholders or partners.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and adhere to contractual conditions.
• Experience in supplying similar products to public sector entities is advantageous.
