Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for space planning and the creation of 3D designs for the merSETA Head Office in Parktown, Johannesburg. The service provider will conduct site surveys, develop conceptual architectural layouts, and produce detailed 3D visualizations to facilitate interior design, office reconfiguration, and drywalling projects. Additionally, the project aims to ensure a functional, habitable, and standards-compliant working environment, including procurement of office furniture where necessary.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Conducting a site survey of the merSETA Head Office.
• Producing conceptual architectural layouts based on provided information and standards.
• Designing interior space arrangements, including drywalling and office furniture procurement.
• Producing a bill of quantities for the interior modifications.
• Ensuring designs align with landlord requirements and organizational standards.
• Providing detailed 3D visualizations of the proposed layouts.
• Carrying out a mandatory site visit scheduled for 17 April 2026.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Carry out a comprehensive site survey and produce conceptual architectural layouts.
• Design interior spaces considering existing standards, guidelines, and landlord requirements.
• Provide detailed specifications and a bill of quantities for the interior modifications.
• Ensure designs are functional, compliant, and suitable for office environments.
• Submit a company profile, references of similar projects, and CVs of the project leader.
• Attend the mandatory site visit and submit all required documentation by the closing date.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven capacity and experience in space planning and interior architectural design.
• At least 3-5 years of practical experience in commercial or corporate interior design projects.
• Qualifications such as a Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or related fields.
• Ability to produce detailed project leader CVs with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Capability to carry out site surveys, conceptualize layouts, and produce 3D visualizations.
• Experience in managing office reconfiguration projects, including procurement and standards compliance.
