Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver steel palisade fencing panels, drum bins, and undertake repairs to fencing at various park facilities within the Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ). The project aims to enhance security and infrastructure at the FM Depot and other park locations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of steel palisade fencing panels of specified dimensions and finishes.
• Provision of 100L steel drum bins with lids.
• Repairs to fencing at various park facilities, including general building, electrical, glazing, plumbing, carpentry, civil, mechanical, and fire systems.
• Site inspections, installation, and compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Supply of steel palisade fencing panels: 3 spoke panels, 3m length, 1.2m or 1.8m height, 1.8-2mm thickness, primed with red oxide and painted Windsor green.
• Delivery of steel drum bins: 100L capacity, with lids, dimensions 600mm x 870mm.
• All work must adhere to SANS/Trade specifications and manufacturer's instructions.
• Materials must be properly prepared, primed, painted, and installed to ensure durability and compliance.
• All damaged materials removed are to be carted off-site and deposited at an approved dumping site.
• Contractors must comply with Occupational Health & Safety Act, Insurance requirements, and site-specific safety protocols.
• Provision of all necessary permits, certificates of compliance, and adherence to environmental and safety standards.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Applicants must meet the following skills and qualification criteria:

• Proof of residence (municipal statement not older than three months or valid lease agreement).
• Valid COIDA Certificate from the Department of Labour (Letter of Good Standing).
• For joint ventures, a signed JV agreement detailing contributions, participation percentages, management structure, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
• Completion of all administrative requirements, including submission of MBD forms (MBD 1, 3, 4, 6.1, 8, 9).
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provision of vendor number.
• Experience in supply, installation, and repair of fencing and related civil works.
• Demonstrated understanding of occupational health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Ability to provide all necessary documentation, including tax compliance, BBBEE status, and proof of past performance.
