Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, and install two fully fitted mobile ablution facilities at Msinsi Hazelmere Dam. The facilities are intended to provide sanitary amenities, including toilets, washbasins, showers, and related infrastructure, to meet the needs of the site.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply, delivery, and installation of two mobile ablution units, each measuring approximately 6m long, 3.05m wide, and 2m high.
• Each unit to be divided into two separate sections for male and female, with each section containing:
• Two toilets
• Two wash hand sinks with double taps or equivalent
• Two showers
• One urinal (for male section)
• Lighting with two switches and two double tube lights per section
• Geyser and isolator (200L capacity)
• Plumbing connections for water supply and soak pit
• External mounted distribution board and earth leakage protection
• Windows, doors, and burglar bars as specified
• Heavy-duty vinyl flooring and doorsteps with signage
• Tripod stands and concrete pads for leveling
• Electrical and plumbing works compliant with relevant standards and certification.
• Construction of chassis, flooring, walls, windows, doors, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing as per detailed specifications.
• Provision of certification of compliance for electrical and plumbing installations.
• Site preparation, installation, and leveling of units.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Chassis built with pre-galvanized steel channels, fully spanning the unit.
• Floor constructed with 18mm exterior hardwood ply, bonded with industrial vinyl sealed joints.
• Walls made from polyurethane panels with Chromadek cladding, treated timber framing, and thermal insulation.
• Windows manufactured from anodized aluminum with safety glass, sliding type, conforming to SANS standards.
• Doors constructed from composite steel and timber, with polyurethane insulation and secure locking mechanisms.
• Roofing with treated timber trusses, corrugated ISQ300 roof sheets, and weatherproofing features.
• Electrical wiring suitable for 220V single-phase supply, with earth leakage protection and compliance with SANS 10142-1.
• Plumbing fittings compliant with SABS standards, with water connection to soak pits.
• Heavy-duty vinyl flooring, purpose-made trims, and flashings for finishing.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying and installing mobile ablution facilities or similar prefabricated units, supported by signed completion certificates and reference letters.
• Technical capability to construct and install steel chassis, plumbing, electrical systems, and finishes as per detailed specifications.
• Ability to prepare and submit a comprehensive works program and safety plan, including site induction, safety files, and work permits.
• Knowledge of relevant South African standards (SANS, SABS) and legislation related to electrical, plumbing, and construction works.
• Capacity to provide certification of compliance for electrical and plumbing installations.
• Provision of valid tax compliance status, CSD registration, and B-BBEE certification or sworn affidavit.
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations on site.
